Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Business Card Boss is designed with privacy at its core. The app collects and processes the following categories of information to provide digital business card services:

• Contact information: name, title, company, phone number, email address, website, and social media links that you enter to create your business cards.
• Company logo: an image you select from your photo library to display on your card.
• Scanned card data: text extracted from paper business cards using your device's camera and on-device OCR.

2. Data Storage and Security

• All business card data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage.
• No data is transmitted to external servers. There is no cloud sync, no account system, and no server-side storage.
• Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features including encryption at rest and biometric lock.

3. Camera Access

Business Card Boss requests camera access solely for the purpose of scanning paper business cards. The app uses Apple's VisionKit framework to perform optical character recognition (OCR) entirely on your device. No images or scanned data are transmitted to external servers. You review and approve all extracted information before it is saved.

4. Photo Library Access

Business Card Boss requests photo library access solely for selecting a company logo to display on your business card. The app does not access, scan, or upload any other photos from your library.

5. QR Codes and Sharing

When you share your business card via QR code, link, or vCard (.vcf) file, the information you chose to include on your card is shared with the recipient. This sharing is initiated entirely by you and is not mediated by our servers. QR codes are generated on your device.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Business Card Boss does not share your data with third parties. The app contains:

• No analytics or tracking SDKs
• No advertising frameworks
• No third-party data collection

The only time your information leaves your device is when you explicitly choose to share a card via iMessage, email, AirDrop, or another sharing method.

7. Data Retention

• All data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
• You can delete individual cards or all data from within the app.
• Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.

8. Your Rights

• You have full control over all data stored in the app at all times.
• You can edit or delete any business card at any time.
• Because your data is stored locally and never transmitted to our servers, there is no server-side data to request deletion of.

9. Children's Privacy

Business Card Boss is a professional networking tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when changes were last made. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
